Drop Savers Poster Contest

The 24th anniversary of the Annual Drop Savers’ Poster Contest event has been one of FSAWWA most important outreach programs. The poster contest allows participants to have fun and at the same time promote the importance of water conservation in their homes. Each participant had to submit an entry on a letter size paper showing a slogan, drawing, or combination of a water conservation idea.

The contest was divided into the following divisions: Kindergarten-first grade, second-third grade, fourth-fifth grade, six-eighth grade, and ninth-twelfth grade. The posters were judged based on the water conservation theme as well as the artistic ability. This year fifteen utilities participated in the contest with over 56 entries.

The first place winners were from Orange County Utilities Water District, City of Oldsmar, Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority, and Englewood Water District. The first, second and third place winners from each division obtained $100, $75 and $50 gift cards respectively as well as a certificate. All other participants obtained a gift card for $15 and the judges and volunteers obtained a coffee mug with the image of the winners.
